I recently had lunch at the Cocotte et Moustache restaurant, and my experience was rather mixed. First, I want to highlight a positive point: the service. The team is quick, well-coordinated, and efficient. The dishes arrive promptly, the staff is attentive, and the dining room organization is clearly well-oiled, which makes for a pleasant experience in that respect. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the food. I chose the poached eggs with Époisses cheese, a dish that usually promises plenty of character and richness. In my case, the result was unfortunately disappointing: the eggs were quite rubbery, and the sauce clearly lacked flavor. There was practically no seasoning, and, most importantly, the Époisses flavor was completely absent. This is quite surprising for such a strong and recognizable cheese. In the end, the dish simply tasted like cream, rather bland, which is a real shame for a regional specialty that should normally be full of character. I also ordered a cheese platter, which turned out to be particularly disappointing. The portions were incredibly small, almost symbolic. For example, a single slice of Comté cheese about 1 mm thick… It's quite frustrating, especially in a region renowned for the quality and generous portions of its cheeses. Furthermore, the cheeses on offer didn't seem particularly high-quality. Ultimately, it was a frustrating experience because the service was professional and pleasant, but the dishes unfortunately didn't live up to my expectations. I sincerely hope the kitchen will improve, as the establishment clearly has the potential to offer a much better experience.

A fantastic discovery! Everything is there for a wonderful time! The atmosphere is warm and the service is truly top-notch. Homemade dishes, generous portions, beautifully presented and full of flavor. Special mention for the Beef Burger with Morbier cheese! Whether for a meal with friends, family, or colleagues, this is an address you absolutely must try in Longvic. We'll definitely be back!
